Château Petit Soutard Saint-Emilion Grand Cru (Red) - AOC SAINT EMILION GRAND CRU

Petit Soutard, Château Soutard's second wine, comes from a terroir composed of clayey-limestone plateau, clayey hillsides and sandy pied de cote. It offers wines with notes of red fruit, round on the palate, velvety and nicely structured.

Terroir: Clay-limestone plateau, clay slopes, sandy pied de cote.

Blend: 64% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc, 4% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Malbec.

Harvesting and vinification: Hand-picked. Grapes kept in cold storage. Gravity sorting and transfer.   

Type of vats: 60hl thermo-regulated wooden vats, 60hl double-walled truncated-cone stainless-steel vats. 

Ageing in French oak barrels: 40% new barrels, 50% one-wine barrels and 10% amphoras.
