HISTORY : The vineyard has been established in the 17th century with the Château des Plassons. Before only located in the south of Charente the Vineyard has been considerably extented since the past 15 yers.

LOCATION : Pineau des Charentes - Cognac

SOIL : exceptional geological plateau of easily assimilated limestone

GROWING AREA IN COGNAC Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Borderies, Fins Bois and Bons Bois

VINEYARDS AREA : 200 hectares

AVERAGE AGE OF VINES : 30 years

VINIFICATION : Natural wine fermentation thanks to a high control of the temperatures all along the process

DISTILLATION : In the outbuildings of the castle, we lead the stills with a process of a double discontinu distillation in hundred-years-old Alambic charentais made of copper. All the aromas of the wine can release themselves.

BLEND : Over 10 different "Eaux de vie" from Bon bois & Fin bois and white grape Juice from Bons Bois, this blend will age for 5 years in oak barrels in the tranquility of the cellars.

TASTING NOTES : Freshness and aromatic netness characterize this delicious Pineau des Charentes, with a big unctuousness. The use of old barrels which have seen very old cognac gives this pineau a "cognacky touch".
